About Us
About Us
Island Dog K9 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to the welfare of domestic animals, wildlife, and exotic animals since 2017. We are located in Florida’s Space Coast and rescue animals anywhere we are needed. Our goal is to provide a safe haven for injured or orphaned animals in need of a temporary home, medical care or rehabilitation. Ultimately, we strive to return rehabilitated healthy wildlife to their natural habitat or pets to their forever home. If full wildlife rehabilitation is not possible, we are also licensed to retain and watch over them into their golden years.

Exotic Pets can be such an honor to work with and own, plus the bond developed is indescribable. They require a ton of work and dedication, as well as come with some difficulties when it comes to unexpected health changes, traveling, children, changes in the home environments, etc. We understand this at Island Dog are are here to offer as much support as possible in the methods that best suit you. Sometimes that means rehoming your loved pet, long term boarding, short term boarding, the pet remaining at our home, or even providing medical recovery under close supervision. Regardless of the need, we are here for you. Reach out to us for additional information and to see if we are the right fit you are looking for. Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation
We are a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center that specializes in Bobcats, Raccoons, Foxes, Otters, Coyotes, Opossums and many other species. Our home is on site, which allows for 24 hour care and we work with amazing vets to provide the animals with the best care possible. Whether the animal is sick, orphaned, injured or you aren’t sure what to do, we are here to assist. The ultimate goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and release, however that can not always be the case. For that reason we have taken the extra step in state licensing to be able to keep the animals safe for the remainder of their lives if they cannot be returned to the wild, which is not something every rehabber or facility offers. Please reach out for additional information and let us know how we can help.
